Day one: Kampala
You will be meet our company representative from car hire in Uganda on your arrival at Entebbe airport, or at your Hotel or residence in Kampala. or Entebbe After short briefing about your rented car you will read through,sign the car rental agreement and do the payments. Begin the panoramic drive north-west through the famous Luwero Triangle and Masindi Town to Murchison falls National Park arriving in time a picnic lunch at the spectacularly situated site at the top of the falls where you can see the Nile’s beauty perfected!! Marvel at the Nile, compressing from up to 1km squeeze through a 7meter canyon dropping 45 meters with a thunderous roar creating a beautiful rain bow, a plume of spray and the best thing that happened at the Nile… “The Murchison falls”. Enjoy the sunset as you turn to the lodge. Enjoy the superb comfort and service of Paraa safari lodge or Nile safari camp (High end/luxurious accommodation), Sambiya river lodge (mid range accommodating) or Red chill camp on the way for (low budget/basic accommodation). Day two: Murchison
If you are booked for Nile safari camp, cross the placid Victoria Nile to the northern Bank. Your guide will help you spot Elephant, Lion, Cape buffalo, Rothschild’s giraffe, heartbeat, Water buck, Oribi, bush buck, Bohor reed buck, hyena and if you are lucky, the leopard. After lunch, go for a boat safari upstream the calm Victoria Nile to the base of the falls stopping just tens of meters from the “Devil’s cauldron”. En-route, marvel at the toothsome hippos, crocodiles and over this 17km stretch you may see elephant, water-buck and Uganda kob crocodile. This is also a zone of many bird species like Goliath heron, Egyptian goose, pelican bee-eater, kingfisher, horn-bill, cormorant and the rare shoe bill stork. Day three: Murchison-Kibale
All day drive south via Hoima to fort portal through verdant countryside and past traditional homesteads and farms along Albertine Rift escarpments. Fort-portal rests in the shadow of fabled mountains of the moons Hotel or Gardens Hotel meals and overnight at Ndali Lodge or primate Lodge (High end/luxurious accommodation) chimps Nest, Nature Lodges, mountains of the moon Hotel (medium class accommodation) chimpanzee Guest House or Rwenzori View Guest House (Low budget/basic accommodation) a stunning location overlooking a dramatic crater Lake and the fabled “Mountains of the moon”. Evening cultural visit around the crates is amazing. Meals plan: Breakfast, Lunch and Dinner.
Day four : Kibale-Queen National park
Half day search for chimpanzee and other 10 primates including phoestes, red colobus, blues, red tailed and grey cheeked mangabey. The guide will provide detailed explanations, not only on primates, but also on all the forest fauna and flora and will ensure that your walk is informative and enjoyable. This walk is excellent for viewing bird life and seeing primates at close quarters. After lunch, proceed to Queen, Elizabeth National Park following the mystic Rwenzori Mt. Range via the Crater Lake region and baboon cliffs. A game drive en route to view lion, elephant, leopard, buffalo, hyena and a variety of antelope species. Dinner and overnight at spectacular Mweya Lodge or Jacana Lodge, Katara Lodge, Hippo Hill camp, perched right on the edge of the escarpment overlooking the Uganda great Lakes and Maramagambo forest respectively. Day five: Queen
Dawn game drives today. Queen Elizabeth National Park’s diverse Eco- system of grassy plains, tropical forest, rivers, swamps, lakes and volcanic craters is home to an incredible abundance of wildlife. Game drive in this park, with the massive Rwenzoris as a buck drop provides excellent opportunities to see lion, leopard, giant forest hog, Cape buffalo, elephants, defassa water buck, Uganda kob, Topi and bush buck. These game drives and the boat trip are memorable method of discovering a vast array of wildlife. In the afternoon, enjoy the boat cruise on the Kazinga channel into Lake Edward. This trip passes through possibly the highest concentration of hippos. This launch cruise offers an excellent platform for photography, bird watching and game viewing. The prolific bird life is colorful and stupendous with well over 550 resident species. Dinner and overnight at spectacular Mweya Lodge or Jacana Lodge, Katara Lodge, Hippo Hill camp, perched right on the edge of the escarpment overlooking the Uganda great lakes and Maramagambo forest respectively. Day six: Queen-Bwindi
Today’s drive is through what is probably East Africa’s most spectacular scenery, the highland rain forests which reach to the volcanoes in which live the mountain gorillas. A visit to the bat cave close to Maramagambo forest and the “Blue Lake” is a must! This is the lushest highland rain forest on earth, filled with primates and exotic birds. The afternoon is spent on a game drive around the Ishasha sector looking for the rare tree African climbing lions. Thereafter drive to Bwindi. Dinner and overnight at Gorilla forest camp, Ruhija Lodge or Bwindi resort (High end/luxurious accommodation), or Buhoma Lodge, Engagi Lodge, Silver back Lodge, Lake kitandara Tented camp/ (medium class accommodation) or Buhoma community Bandas (Low budget/basic accommodation). Meal plan: Breakfast, Lunch and Dinner.
Day Seven: Bwindi impenetrable National park
Begin the day with breakfast ready for tracking, which begins at 8:00am with a briefing from the UWA staff. Ensure to carry along with your rain jacket, drinking water, snacks, jungle boots etc. The guide will lead inside the jungle to see the shy primates for the group you have booked for. Do not forget to take your lunch boxes and all the necessary gear to track the rare mountain gorilla, perhaps one of the most exciting wildlife experiences on earth. There are now 650 left in the world! The tracking may take 2 and 6 hours but it’s well worth the effort. Dinner and overnight at either Gorilla forest camp, Ruhija Lodge or Bwindi Resort, (High end/luxurious accommodation), or Buhoma Lodge, Engagi Lodge, silver back Lodge, Lake Kitandara Tented camp/ (medium class accommodation) or Buhoma community Bandas (Low end/basic accommodation). Day Eight: Bwindi-Kampala
Return to Kampala, then Entebbe, with lunch en route and stop over at Equator Uganda before your evening departures home. Meal plan: Breakfast and Lunch. End of services.
